The Connecticut National Guard Foundation Inc Announces 

Scholarship Recipients for 2018 – 2019 Academic Year

The Connecticut National Guard Foundation, Inc is pleased to announce it has awarded scholarships to the following recipients for the 2019-2020 academic year.

LUKOWSKI, Sarah:  Sarah is the daughter of COL Gerald Lukowski, JFHQ, CTARNG.  She lives in Amston, CT and is a 2018 graduate of RHAM High School.  This Fall she is entering her second year at Suffolk University, Boston MA, majoring in Journalism.

PALYS, Mary:  Mary is the daughter of SSG Joseph J. Palys III, HHC 192d MP, CTARNG. Mary is one of two recipients of the SGT Felix M. Del Greco, Jr Memorial Scholarship.   Mary is attending the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI.  

SHETLAND, Caitlyn: Caitlyn is the daughter of CPT Andrew Shetland, HHD 1109th TASM-G, CTARNG.  She lives in Griswold, CT and is a 2019 graduate of Griswold High School, Griswold, CT.  She plans to further her education by attending the University of Connecticut, as a freshman, focusing on molecular and cell biology.  In addition to receiving a general CTNGFI scholarship, Caitlyn is also a recipient of the SGT Felix M. Del Greco, Jr Memorial Scholarship.

STRONG, Tyler:   Tyler is the son of LTC Christopher Strong, JFHQ, CTARNG.  He lives in Southington, CT and is a 2019 graduate of Southington High School, Southington CT.  This Fall he will be entering his freshman year at the University of Connecticut, pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering.

SULS, Cameron:   Cameron is the daughter of Howard Suls, 103d Medical Group, CTANG.  She lives in Bedford, NH.   She is currently enrolled at University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC.  She has been accepted into the upper division of her nursing program, pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing.

WILCOXSON, Megan:  Megan is the daughter of COL(Ret) Alan Wilcoxson, CTARNG.  She lives in Shelton, CT and is a 2017 graduate of the Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Milford CT.  This Fall, Megan returns to The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, pursuing a degree in Strategic Communications.
